CONSULTATION ON ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS 2027
As required by the Admissions Code, we are seeking your views on the proposed admissions policy for 2025-26. A period of consultation will run from 12th December 2025 until 23rd January 2026.
Coughton C of E Primary School is consulting on adopting the admissions policy as part of the requirement to consult every seven years. There are no significant changes, where changes have been made since the last consultation, this is line with statutory requirements.

ONLINE APPLICATIONS FOR ENTRY IN SEPTEMBER 2026 ARE OPEN.
Children can start school (Reception) in the September after their fourth birthday. You can apply for a place from September in the year before your child turns 4 years of age.
If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, you must apply for their Reception place by 15 January 2025 (5pm). If you live in Warwickshire apply online directly to Warwickshire Admissions.
If you live in Worcestershire you will need to apply to www.worcestershire.gov.uk for a Warwickshire County school.
We have one class in each year group therefore the School’s Pupil Admission Number for each year group is 25, should more than 25 children apply places will be allocated by Warwickshire Admissions with regard to our oversubscription criteria which you can see in our Admission Policy. Warwickshire Admissions website has a helpful map which allows you to see if you live in our Priority Area.

Parents with children higher up the school in years 1 to 6 should view the information provided by Warwickshire regarding moving schools within the school year.
Warwickshire Admissions will handle all admissions and appeals on our behalf. The Local Authority will liaise with the Governing Body as required.
