School Council

Coughton School Council has been running for a number of years and involves pupils from Year R to Year 6. They are the voice of the children. Each class elects two representatives at the start of the Autumn Term to attend the meetings which are held every half term.
Before and after each meeting school councillors discuss ideas or issues with their peers then take these ideas or issues to the full school council meeting for further consideration.
These meetings are run by the children with Mr Walsh or Mrs Langleyl acting as facilitators.
Past achievements of the School Council include the purchase of playtime equipment, the playground markings, changing the school lunch providers, actively being involved in the discussions about the Outdoor Learning Zone and raising money for charities.
